Privacy at Auteurly.
This notice explains how Auteurly handles information when you use auteurly.com and studio.auteurly.com. For privacy questions and requests, contact [email protected].

What we collect and why
- Account information: your name, email address, verification status and account identifiers. Email accounts store a password hash. We use this information to authenticate you, provide your private workspace, send account emails and manage your credits.
- Your creative work: prompts, scripts, project settings, characters, images, videos, music, references and generated results you save or submit. We process these to provide the editing, storage, analysis and generation features you choose.
- Billing records: credit purchases, subscription status, transaction identifiers and credit usage. Stripe collects payment details through its hosted checkout and billing portal. Auteurly does not store your full card number.
- Technical information: session records, IP addresses, browser information and operational logs needed to run the service, investigate errors, prevent abuse and protect accounts.
- Support messages: information you send us when asking for help.
We use information to provide the service you request, maintain security and reliability, administer payments, respond to you and meet applicable legal obligations. Where consent is required, you can withdraw it without affecting processing that has already taken place.
When you continue with Google
Google sign-in is optional. With your permission, Google provides your basic profile, including your name, email address, email verification status, profile picture and Google account identifier. We use these to create or identify your Auteurly account and to link sign-in methods safely. A matching, already verified Auteurly account keeps its existing workspace and balance.
We request only basic profile and email access, not Gmail, Drive, contacts or other Google content. Authentication records may include tokens returned during sign-in; access tokens are encrypted in storage. We do not request offline access.
Google sign-in information is used for authentication and account administration. It is not sold, used for advertising or used to train AI models. We do not send Google sign-in credentials to generation providers.
You can remove Auteurly’s authorization in your Google Account connections. This prevents future authorized Google access; it does not by itself delete your Auteurly account, its saved work or existing Auteurly sessions. Contact us to request account deletion.
Who processes information
We use service providers to operate Auteurly: Vercel for hosting and media storage, Neon for databases, Resend for account emails, Stripe for payments and subscriptions, and Google for optional sign-in and, with your consent, analytics.
When you request AI generation or analysis, the relevant prompts, project context and reference material are sent to Kie and the model providers involved in that request. Supported voice features may also use ElevenLabs. Private media needed for a request is made accessible through temporary links. Provider processing and retention depend on the selected service; private workspace storage does not mean material stays entirely on Auteurly’s servers.
Service providers may process information outside your country. Their own privacy notices explain their practices. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect the service and its users.
Workspace privacy and browser storage
New accounts receive a private workspace. Other users cannot access it through their accounts. Authorized service operations and the providers needed to fulfill your requests still process its data. Only upload material you are entitled to use.
Auteurly uses cookies to keep you signed in, protect authentication and remember your workspace. Browser storage also saves preferences, editing drafts and checkout state. Clearing it may sign you out or remove unsaved local drafts. The current website does not include advertising trackers.
Optional analytics
If you choose “Allow analytics”, Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, helps us understand visits to the website and studio, verified new signups, first completed videos and confirmed credit purchases. Event data can include a random browser identifier, a sanitized page address, sign-in method, video duration and resolution, and purchase identifiers, amounts, currency and credits. We do not include your email, name, prompts, film titles, media or authentication and checkout tokens in these events.
Analytics is off until you allow it. Your choice is shared between auteurly.com and studio.auteurly.com and remembered for 180 days. You can change it through “Privacy choices” in the website footer, sign-in footer, or studio Account menu. Declining does not affect filmmaking or billing. Advertising features and Google signals are disabled. Google may process technical information such as browser and device details; see how Google uses information from sites and apps.
How long information stays
Account information and saved work are retained while needed to provide your account and projects. You can delete supported content in the studio or request account deletion by email. We may retain information necessary for payment records, legal obligations, security and resolving disputes. Deleting a project in Auteurly does not automatically delete copies already processed by an external generation provider.
We use access controls, protected authentication cookies and encryption for stored OAuth access tokens. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and requests
Contact [email protected] to request access to, correction of, export of or deletion of your personal information, or to ask about restricting or objecting to its use. We may need to verify your identity. Your rights and any exceptions depend on applicable law; where available, you can also contact your data protection authority.
You can use email sign-in instead of Google, remove Google authorization, manage subscriptions in the billing portal and delete supported creative content in the studio. Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals; it does not delete your account.
